Esta comunicação traz observações de uma pesquisa em andamento sobre o fundamentalismo muçulmano antes e desde os eventos do 11 de setembro de 2001. Ela se insere numa pesquisa que pretende comparar reações ao islamismo em três países: os EUA, Israel e a Índia (1990-hoje) – três Estados que representam cada um o centro de civilizações diferentes e têm ainda em comum uma pré-história de relações complicadas com o mundo muçulmano, um sistema político democrático pluralista com (oficialmente) neutralidade religiosa, presença de uma minoria muçulmana significativa e um “contra-fundamentalismo” indígena (cristão, judaico e hindu) expressamente anti-muçulmano.Downloads
