Based on a bibliographic analysis and interviews conducted in Iran, this article presents
the perspective of Shiite Islam on international economic relations, specifically focusing on
the Iranian context. The aim is to discuss economic thought in the context of international
trade, highlighting the ethical and moral issues that delimit Islamic foreign trade and how
these issues can be considered both within the framework of the WTO and in bilateral
relations between Islamic and non-Islamic countries. Additionally, the article examines how
these countries have utilized Free Trade Zones and regionalism to develop international
trade.
